MovieGo helps cinema visitors browse movies, reserve seats, order snacks and complete checkout before arriving at the theatre. The project focused on reducing waiting time and creating a fast, enjoyable booking experience.
MovieGo is a mobile application designed to simplify the cinema experience by combining movie discovery, seat booking and snack ordering into one intuitive workflow. The objective was to reduce friction and help users spend less time waiting in queues.

Cinema visitors often experience long concession queues, fragmented booking experiences and complicated checkout flows. The challenge was designing an intuitive mobile experience that combines tickets and snack ordering into one seamless journey.
I conducted competitor analysis and mapped the customer journey to identify opportunities for improving convenience, navigation and checkout speed.
The booking journey was simplified into five clear steps, helping users move from browsing movies to completing payment with minimal effort.
Low-fidelity wireframes explored different layouts before moving into polished interface designs. The focus was improving discoverability, reducing cognitive load and streamlining checkout.
A lightweight design system was created to maintain consistency across the application, including typography, colour palette, reusable components, icons and spacing guidelines.
The final experience features immersive movie browsing, streamlined seat selection, snack ordering and a simplified checkout designed to minimise user effort while maintaining visual consistency.
A high-fidelity interactive prototype was developed in Figma to validate navigation, user flows and overall usability before development.
MovieGo demonstrates how thoughtful interaction design can reduce friction throughout the cinema journey. By combining ticket booking and snack ordering into a single workflow, the experience becomes faster, more convenient and easier to navigate.
This project strengthened my mobile UX skills, particularly around information architecture, checkout optimisation and designing scalable interfaces. It reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics with usability in fast-paced consumer experiences.
